A meeting point

El Portal de l'Eixample was born in 2014. They say that the best projects come out at night when the ideas come to life. And on one of those nights after an event, the key question came to mind: "Why not open our own space for events?

With the idea in mind we started to shape it. We imagined a meeting point, a space that breathed Barcelona, a cosmopolitan, modern, independent, happy, carefree city always ready to celebrate. And so, just like that, El Portal de l'Eixample was born in the heart of Barcelona.

Choosing the venue was not difficult, in fact it was to see it and know that this was the space we wanted. A characteristic place of the city that years ago had been a restaurant very frequented by locals where young people met any day of the week to enjoy a good grill, have a few drinks or watch a soccer game. A place as central as clandestine, and is that although it is located next to Passeig de Gràcia in a modernist building of the twentieth century you must know it to enter it.

We wanted to preserve its essence with details of the reference that one day it was, as well as giving it a Barcelona essence with winks to characteristic elements of the modernist Barcelona: the original telephone inside the building with which it rang to enter to the venue, the typical "panots" of Barcelona, the walls that represent the typical grid of the Eixample...

But El Portal de l’Eixample was born to be a blank page ready to be written. Because in our venue any event is possible. We help you make it easier.
